The hills are alive
And waiting for us, because we had to pick up a van at the Venice airport and drive it to the Dolomites. Also, this time it wasn’t just us, we had some friends, too! Aka our cuzins.

Pass the pici
This is our little mini post on Tuscany. My sister had been waiting patiently for two years to eat pici pasta again, and she got it! Pici pasta is a type of Italian pasta that is kinda like udon noodles, and as far as we know, has 2 rules: 1) it can only be found in Tuscany, and only Tuscany (Umbria is 15 minutes away and we didn’t see a single trace of pici), 2) it has to be hand made, beause otherwise, it dosn’t taste like pici.
Under the umbrian sun
Really, I think it must have been the hottest place we have visited. My mom was so happy to get to Italy to eat and practice her Italian. In Umbria, we got to experience the three things the region is known for: truffles, pigs, and chocolate! We stayed in a tiny village called Collepino that only has 25 residents, which is less than the number of people in my class in fourth grade, and one more person than in Mia’s 1st grade class.

Buon compleanno, Moose!
(Buon compleanno in Italian means happy birthday)
This is Mia with a GUEST POST!!! Did you know that someone, I mean someANIMAL that is really important, has a birthday on the Fourth of July? Iiiiiit’s MOOSE and Moose is the king of animal world!
This place doesn’t suck…
…your blood, that is. 🧛🏻♂️ When you think of Transylvania, do you think of fog, pale skin, and creepy music? Well, that’s what we thought too, instead of reality, which is sunny skies, castles, and dancing!
The wurst place possible
If you're wondering why I spelled worst wrong, it’s because I wasn’t actually trying to spell worst, I meant wurst, like the German sausage.

🎶Gimme, gimme, gimme some meatballs and pancakes🎶
As you have probably guessed, my 4th summer post and 3rd country is Stockholm and/or Sweden!!! Now, before I tell you about our time in Stockholm, I need to tell you something else: Stockholm has some of the best meatballs and pancakes, and it has a large number of museums.
Fjord your information…
… there are over 1,700 fjords (fee-yourds) in Norway, and we only visited 4 of them. Wow. After we went to Bergen, we drove to Flåm, and we took a boat tour around Aurlandsfjord and Nærøryfjord, which are little parts of Sognefjord, the largest fjord. We had to wear these weird suits, so if we fell in the freezing water, we wouldn’t freeze.
Welcome 2 Troll central!
Mini post time! I am doing a mini post on Bergen, because (a) We are only here for 2 days (b) I am going to do a bigger one about the Norwegian fjords.

co-pen-ha-gen! co-pen-ha-gen!
That’s what I was saying in my head when we touched down. In Europe, there are these stores called ‘Flying Tiger’ that I discovered in summer ‘22, when we were in Florence (Italy). One time, on a package of gel pens that I got, I read that these magical items were from Copenhagen. I’ve wanted to go to Copenhagen ever since!
