Today began with a note on the truck at 5:00am. It said nope you cannot park here. Woops. But no ticket. Pfew. The Beast started so loudly with the squeal that I imagine no one was asleep after that. Found a Timmies within 100 feet. I got coffee. Savannah got a crossant, she’s moving up to solids. There were many fire fighters there. One doing pushups in the parking lot. I was in PJs wearing my bed time glasses without any makeup. I didn’t even think about flirting. My truck was sexy and my favorite colour of Ford Red. The Beast is beige. But it’s a good beast.
Oh, side note, I managed a sponge bath in it last night. It was cold and great. My hair has become a big fluffy, curly bundle of “rats nest” Savannah interjects as I read this aloud. Huh thanks munchkin.
We drove out of found and fou.d a truckers truck wash and laundry mat. By 9am we were washing sheets from the Island and everything else, like the floor mat Max mucked up as he shredded a full bottle of chocolate protien mix Sav tried to drink but left in the RV as we shopped at walmart in the smoke. We cleaned the RV. Stealthily throwing out heaps of garage in many small trips. The cat ans dog got a walk. I charged my phone inside and we added to the map. This all happened at Sicamus. Sav thought that was hilarious. Then we went to the Last Spike. We’d been here several years ago. It was sweet.
We stopped at 3 valley gap and then hung out at Revelstole Mtn and walked both pets again. This happens a lot. People stare a lot too.
We went to Canyon Hot Springs as munchkin wanted to hit one for sure. It was gross. It was over priced at 25.11 for a swim. It was a dirty facility. There was too much chlorine. Really hot hot pool. Yes I know how that sounds. If you want a good one. Any Parks Canada one. Miette is the best then Raduim Sav says. Miette is my favorite. Great staff who are very kind people. But we met a nice lady and her two kids from Prince Albert SK.
We missed Rogers Pass (luckily we’d been before) as we were watching the Mountains, the active fires and the construction all going on right there.
Our neighbour is working up there. This is his second year here for the summers. He’s very nice. Has a daughter in Courtenay now moving back to Huston.
We camped at Campers Haven. What we got was a septic hook up that’s about as ghetto as our RV (it looks even better because I duct taped our connections on. A pull through site and other RV neighbours with a cat. I feel better about the cat thing. This makes about five that we’ve seen in RVs. All for $37.00
I wahed clothes in the cooler. Filled the RV water tank. Dumped the grey water and black water. Hooked everything up. Washed dishes. Cleaned the RV. Found the cats leash in the cooler. Wahed that too. Sav played ball out side and walked the cat for about an hour and a half.
We then killed the scads of mosquitoes that came inside. Savannah said “This feels like a real bonding moment!” As we scampered about killing them with the electric swatter from Linda and Mischa.
