We’ve had a few days of visiting with my lovely sister in law who’s expecting (6 months in) my newest niece in the fall. We got to check out baby clothing, go maternity shopping, eat out and hang out. Savannah caught up on Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix. We saw Gary breifly for an evening but enough for a fun Uncle swim buddy and a biarsgame player. I rearranged some boards (accidentally right over an ant hill so that took a few tries) cleaned windows, built a shelf (that took a surprisingly long time) added new ducting to a dryer, did some recyling and washes some carpeting. Just little things that are helpful and honestly when you don’t have a home the manual work is fun to get back into.
Yesterday we bathed Mr Max. The PetValu here has undiluted shampoo, warm drier air, bigger treats and brushes (we didn’t use that)
We got him some antihistamine to see if that helps his nose.
The Beast is repaired. Both back brake shoes, cylinders and something oese were shot. The front return power steering fluid had a leak and the belts were tightened and one replaced after the leak added to the squeal. I thought it would be about 600.00 It was just over 1500.00. Ouch. But it’s much safer which is good. The shop name was great and they were wonderful down to earth people.
Today I’m changing out the wipers as I try and let my neck and back heal. I drove it to the shop in the rain and it was beyond dangerous…. thankfully the roads here are straight and it was a short distance. There were enough wiper options that I phoned a man friend for imput after starting at them for 40 minutes and narrowing it down to two choices.
Here’s some of the last week.
