This morning we woke up and visited with a little boy across the campsite from ours. He had a slight delay and a stutter this made his Dad more aware of him being overly chatty. Parents can typically be more aware or sensitive of their children’s delays than the children. He was just happy to chat and share all sorts of information. Starting with the fact that this was his first time camping. Ever. Then he continued for about a hour ending with his dads wish on a star was for million cats. He told us his too, but we promised not to tell.
We packed up.
I stopped at the office and mentioned how bad the site was for as RV and that the wood was unburnable etc.
Then off to the mine. But first we grabbed gas and ate at a truck stop after meeting a very nice and friendly driver. We talked about loving the coast, weather, his thanking God, truck driving etc. He showed us the cab set up.
We had planned to go to another mine but saw a flyer for Diamond Willow Amethyst. We asked the cashier she didn’t know which was better but said more people the flyer for Diamond Willow.
I checked Google reviews. Panorama lost out based on that.
It was a funny drive out there in the RV but beyond worth it.
The lady who greeted us and chatted with Sav mostly was just a delight. She was so friendly and kind. Honestly I can’t emphasis how great they were.
We spent two and a half hours picking stones. We got about half a bucket or just under. We were conscious of weight in the RV and more having a good time. Which she was. She spent half the time jumping up and down saying how much fun she was having!
After wrapping up the stones we thanked them again and headed off.
At Longlac I curiously drive down a long road. It seemed to be something. I hindsite it may have been as old Burial ground or ?
Things to Google.
But just after that the RV started making these insane scraping sounds. Like agonizing steel ready to snap. It continues for 400ft. I stopped and checked belts. Nope. Udder the RV. Nope. Brake fluid. Nope. Hmmm
Thank goodness for google at times.
Tried somethingn it worked.
We drove and drove and drove and drove until we hit Kapuskasing. It had a walmart. One that was nice and friendly. We stopped driving around 1:40 am and saw another Red Fox!
Aside from the truck that turned on and ran for 10 minutes every 20 minutes it was a great nights sleep lol.
Sav called several people today as she was so happy to share about the mine.♡
