Hartland  Bridge

This is the worlds longest covered bridge. 

The signs for it are vague and little.  Thankfully a quick google search and a 30km detour (with backtracking)  we came to this gem.

It was a gorgeous sunny day and I tend to think of covered bridges in the context of The Bridges of Madison County.

It’s a romantic sweet movie. 

We got down the hill the were bombarded by 50+ senior citizen amercian tourists. They blocked traffic. They walked on the road. They were something else. 

We waited for them then went through the bridge and back.  We saw baby birds midway. The names of some children who were in care and Savamnah carved a few in  the spirit of thing
